OUR APPROACH

Natural Born Heroes is underpinned by organ organisational psychology, physiology and best practice in aggression management. We enhance an organisation's safety capability by delivering world class critical incident response training, facilitation and coaching. Our tailored and comprehensive program improves safety, enhances communication, negotiation and influencing skills. Our unique stress inoculation training utilises the most effective and up-to-date training methodologies and frameworks drawn from the first responder community. The program is delivered through an evidence-based lens with safety as the primary focus.

The training method is built around the principles of ‘EDUCATE, DEMONSTRATE, DO’ model. This supports and encourages participants to embed the content, build confidence and apply their learnings in real life scenarios.

The delivery of the program is achieved through a blended approach which allocates particular attention to learning that sticks and the creation of effective habits, behaviours and skills. In addition, the NBH is designed to utilise the same nomenclature as our clients to ensure consistency across the organisation.

OUR VALUES

At Natural Born Heroes we exist and find inspiration from the concept of ‘UBUNTU’ which means “I am, because you are”!  Ubuntu has its roots in humanist African philosophy, where the idea of community is one of the building blocks of society.

We work extensively in the not-for-profit and corporate sectors in Australia. We provide experiential training, framework development, and consultation on complex situations where employees may be at risk of violence and aggression.

TRUST – Our unique approach is underpinned by authenticity (presenting our true selves), empathy (caring and partnering with our clients) and logic (showing reason and sound judgement underpinned by an evidence-based approach)

PARTNERSHIP – True partnership consists of shared accountability and shared success. We are relentless in our pursuit for driving positive outcomes in our partner organisations.

COMMUNICATION – Cultivate a culture of two-way communication and expectation clarity.  We establish positive feedback channels to understand and grow with our partner organisations.

EXCELLENCE – Aim for precision and simplicity. Navigate ambiguity with humility and perseverance.

INNOVATION – Encourage a culture of creativity, collaboration, openness to learning and creative thinking.

PRIVACY & SECURITY – Absolute dedication to safeguarding the privacy and security of user/organisational data.

CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY - commitment to ethical and sustainable practices that benefit individuals, stakeholders, organisations, society and the environment.

DIVERSITY, EQUITY & INCLUSION – We recognise that our differences make us stronger. We insist on a culture of respect and recognise that words and actions are important. Acts of commission or omission also matter.

‘When our strengths align and complement our partners, their success becomes our success.  We believe If you want to go fast, go alone, if you want to go far, go with others’.
